Nuki has once again revolutionized the smart lock market with its latest release: the Nuki Smart Lock Ultra . This new generation comes packed with improvements in design, speed, and efficiency , aimed at those seeking a modern and effective security solution for their homes or businesses.
One of the most outstanding features of this lock is its speed . Nuki has made the Smart Lock Ultra three times faster than previous models, allowing users to open or close their doors in record time. Thanks to its new brushless motor , a technology typically found in electric vehicles, the lock is not only more efficient but also more durable.
A revolutionary engine and customizable speed modes
The major advancement of this model is the inclusion of a brushless motor , which until now had been limited to other technological sectors, such as automobiles. This type of motor provides greater energy efficiency and, at the same time, reduces wear and tear, thus extending the device's lifespan.
Users can choose between three speed modes depending on their needs:
- Insane: Allows unlocking in less than 1,5 seconds.
- Standard: Perform the same action in 2 seconds.
- Gentle: Reduces noise and speed, ideal for moments when discretion is needed.
Compact design and improved charging
In terms of design, Nuki has done a great job reducing the size of the Smart Lock Ultra, making it a third more compact than previous versions. Despite this change, the lock retains the brand's signature aesthetic , with its iconic LED circle and interchangeable base ring in white or black. This allows users to personalize the lock's appearance to their liking.
As if that weren't enough, the new model does away with traditional batteries and integrates a lithium polymer battery . This battery fully charges in just two hours thanks to an innovative magnetic charging system that greatly simplifies the process, allowing it to be charged directly on the door without needing to be removed. A full charge can last for several months , offering enviable autonomy.
Compatibility and simplicity in installation
The new Nuki lock includes a premium universal cylinder , designed to fit most standard doors. This cylinder, which must be replaced before installing the Smart Lock Ultra, can be fitted by anyone without additional tools or technical expertise. The entire installation takes less than 15 minutes , thanks to a step-by-step visual guide in the Nuki app.
Furthermore, the lock is compatible with major smart home systems , including Google Home, Apple Home and Amazon Alexa , thanks to its Wi-Fi connectivity and integration with Matter and Thread standards.
Advanced features for total control
With the Smart Lock Ultra, Nuki has enhanced the user experience by introducing new advanced features that allow for more flexible and convenient lock management. These features include automatic unlocking , fingerprint or PIN code access options , and the ability to create up to 200 custom access permissions . All of this is easily managed through the Nuki app, which also allows you to activate modes such as night mode or schedule access for different users.
The upgrade process from previous versions is now much easier thanks to the data migration system , which allows you to transfer settings and access authorizations without complications, ensuring that the change to the new device is as smooth as possible.
Availability and prices
The Smart Lock Ultra will be available in Nuki stores and Nuki Pro Shops from December 2024 for €349 . The universal cylinder will also be available separately for €99 and is compatible with all Nuki locks from the second generation onwards.
Nuki has not only improved the technology and performance in this new generation, but has also listened to its users to make the transition easier and faster. With its more compact design, amazing speed, and new possibilities, the Smart Lock Ultra promises to become one of the most advanced smart locks on the market.
