The European Hardware Awards 2025 have announced their official list of finalists , featuring some of the most outstanding technological devices and components of the moment. Organized by the European Hardware Association (EHA) , this event has established itself as one of the most influential in the sector, bringing together specialized media from across Europe to recognize the best products on the market.
This year marks the eleventh edition of the awards , and the selection of finalists has been more rigorous than ever. More than 100 editors and hardware experts have evaluated products in 61 different categories , covering all types of devices, from CPUs and motherboards to monitors and gaming peripherals. The final ceremony will take place on May 19 in Taipei , coinciding with the opening of Computex 2025.
Processors and motherboards: the most powerful on the market
In the desktop processor category, AMD and Intel models stand out . Products like the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K are among the top performers. In laptops , the Ryzen AI family and Intel Ultra processors lead mobile innovation , highlighting the clear trend toward integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into CPUs.
Regarding ATX and micro-ATX motherboards , from both AMD and Intel, brands like ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, and ASRock appear repeatedly on the lists. Models such as the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 APEX and the GIGABYTE X870E AORUS Xtreme AI Top are among the favorites for those seeking a balance between design, reliability , and extreme performance.
Graphics cards and RAM: maximum visual performance
In the GPU arena, the latest generations from AMD and NVIDIA dominate the rankings . Among desktop cards are the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the GeForce RTX 5090 , both of which also have dedicated laptop versions. Custom editions from ASUS, MSI, ZOTAC, and PowerColor have also received nominations.
As for main memory, the competition is fierce between CORSAIR, G.SKILL, Kingston, and other well-known brands . Build quality, RGB lighting integration, and extremely high frequencies are setting the standard this year.
Monitors and peripherals: image, precision and design
Gaming monitors have become a key category , and this year OLED and QD-OLED models from brands like ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE stand out. Among professionals, the ASUS ProArt series and the BenQ SW272Q remain benchmarks for designers and content creators.
On the other hand, we find high-end peripherals such as mice and keyboards designed for enthusiastic gamers . Razer , Logitech, CORSAIR, and ASUS compete with offerings that combine ergonomics, wireless capability, and advanced configurations . Gaming chairs , routers, and streaming equipment are also represented in this year's awards.
Cooling, storage, and cases: the soul of a good PC
Air and liquid cooling systems continue to evolve , and models like the Noctua NH-D15 G2 and the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III have been recognized as outstanding options for keeping hardware running smoothly. In the realm of custom cooling brands, EKWB and Alphacool continue to set the standard for high-performance solutions.
In storage , Samsung, CORSAIR, and Kingston have made inroads with their high-performance SSDs , such as the Samsung 9100 PRO and the Corsair MP700 Elite. There's also room for traditional hard drives and NAS systems, where Synology and QNAP are common players.
PC cases have their place with models from be quiet!, Fractal Design or Lian Li that stand out for their airflow, aesthetics and modularity.
Accessible technology and AI hardware: booming categories
One of the most significant new features is the inclusion of categories focused on the best value for money , a feature increasingly valued by the average consumer. Here you'll find everything from budget-friendly processors to affordable laptops and smartphones that offer remarkable performance without breaking the bank.
Alongside this, categories focused on hardware with artificial intelligence have gained prominence . Processors, laptops, and GPUs with specific AI capabilities now have their own space, reflecting the direction the industry is taking toward intelligent computing.
The most innovative brands also compete for the title of 'Product of the Year' , a category that includes heavyweights such as the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or the Noctua NH-D15 G2 cooler.
The 2025 European Hardware Awards confirm that innovation never stops and that, despite a market saturated with models, quality, efficiency, and support remain fundamental criteria for standing out. This event not only celebrates the best products but also serves as a guide for hardware enthusiasts and professionals seeking the best in each category.
