The Calendar app on iPhone and Mac lets you display national holidays for your country or region. Below are the steps to show holidays in Calendar on iPhone and Mac.

The advantage of displaying holidays in the Calendar app on your iPhone or Mac is that it allows you to plan your work schedules, appointments, and vacations.

Depending on where you live, your country or region's holiday calendar should be available on your gadget.

If a Holiday Calendar is available, easily open the Calendar app and choose the accessible Holiday Calendar to indicate holidays in your iPhone and Mac Calendars.

1. Show US holidays on iPhone

If you live in the United States, simply launch the Calendar app and choose the accessible US Holiday Calendar to display US holidays on your iPhone.

Open the Calendar app on your iPhone and click on Calendars in the bottom menu.

On the next screen, select US Holidays and tap Done.

After that, your iPhone calendar will start displaying all the national or official US holidays.

2. Show UK holidays on iPhone

If you live in the UK, the UK public holidays calendar should be available on your gadget.

However, if you move to the UK and the UK holiday calendar is not available on your iPhone, you will need to change your device's time zone to the UK and the UK holiday calendar will appear in the Calendar app.

Go to Settings > Common > Language & region > Zone > On the next screen, select United Kingdom , select your region and click Reached.

Once the United Kingdom is set as the region on your iPhone, the UK holiday calendar will be accessible in the Calendar app on your iPhone.

Next, open the Calendar app and click on Calendars in the back menu.

On the Calendars screen, select UK Public Holidays and tap Done to justify.

Note: The same steps can be used to add the holiday calendar for Australia, New Zealand, and other countries on your iPhone.

3. Show holidays in the Calendar app on Mac

Follow the steps below to display holidays in the Calendar app on Mac.

Open the Calendar app on your MacBook > click Calendar , click the top menu bar, and choose Preferences from the drop-down menu.

On the Preferences screen, go to the Common section and select Current Holidays calendar option.

If this doesn't work, try updating the app. Just click on the View menu and choose Update Calendars.
