If you're like most customers, you probably don't remember your Apple ID security questions or the solutions to them. Fortunately, you can start over now and edit your Apple ID security questions and write them down somewhere.

Edit Apple ID security questions from an iPhone or iPad

1. On the Home screen, click Safari to launch the web browser on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Go to www.appleid.apple.com

3. Link to your account using your Apple ID and password.

4. On your Apple ID page, click the Security button (See image below).

5. In the security window, you may need to provide a solution to the security query you previously defined.

6. Type the answer if you have it in mind. If you have no idea what the answer is, click the Reset Security Questions hyperlink.

Please note: You will not be able to see the option to reset security questions if you do not have a backup email address on your account.

7. An email may be sent to the backup email address linked to your Apple ID. Access your email and follow the instructions to change your security questions.

Change Apple ID security questions on a Windows PC or MAC

You can also change your security questions on a PC or Mac in Windows Home . The steps are virtually the same, but the interface may be slightly different.

1. Exit your computer, go to https://www.appleid.apple.com.

2. Link to your account using your Apple ID and password.

3. Now click on Questions about the change – This can be located in the Security tab (see image below).

4. On the next screen, you may have to provide a solution to the security problem you just fixed.

5. If you have no idea what the answer is, click Reset Security Questions to receive an email from Apple. Follow the instructions in the email and reset your security questions.

Please note: You will not be able to see the option to reset security questions if you do not have a backup email address on your account.

Although it is rare that you will be required to answer security questions, it is always a good idea to document your security question and answer in a safe place.
