If Google Images are not saving on your Android phone or tablet , you should be able to fix it with the troubleshooting steps below.

While Google Images not saving on your Android phone usually occurs when you try to add a series of images, it can also occur as a result of many different causes.

When this issue occurs, you may see a “Be careful when saving” or “Check items to save” message, or the error message may only be accessible when you open Google Images and click on your picture or profile icon.

1. Check the current backup

2. Allows backup and synchronization

Open Google Images > tap Profile icon > choose Photo settings option.

On the Settings screen, click Upload and sync > on the next screen, toggle the switch after Backup and sync to ON instead.

Next, you need to discover the images on your gadget, saving as much as Google Photos.

3. Make sure the home storage is accessible

Google Images has not been backed up if there is not enough storage space in your Google account.

Open Google Images > tap Profile icon > Photo settings > Backup and sync > On the next screen, make sure there is enough space to save in your Google account.

If the storage space is not accessible, you can free up storage space in your Google account by tapping Manage storage or purchase additional storage space by tapping Purchase storage.

4. Clear the cache of the Images app

Basically, the problem is caused by the Google Photos app cache being corrupted, which can be resolved by clearing the Google Photos cache.

5. Restart the gadget

Usually the problem is caused by minor, unexplained software issues that can be resolved by restarting the device.

Press and hold the Power button > select Restart and wait patiently for your gadget to restart.

6. Allows the choice of saving device folders

It's a good idea to enable the option to save folders in the Images app if you want downloaded images, WhatsApp images , and images from different apps to be saved in Google Images.

8. Examine the size of the images

Google Photos has implemented size restrictions on photo and video uploads. If a photo or video does not meet the upload criteria, it will not be saved by Google Images.

To effectively save images in Google Images, images must be less than 75MB or 100 megapixels and videos must be less than 10GB.

9. Reinstalling Google Images

In some rare cases, the problem may be that the Photos app is broken or corrupted. You can fix this problem by uninstalling the Google Photos app and reinstalling it on your gadget.

Open Settings > go to Apps > Images > choose the Uninstall option in the menu below.

Once the application is uninstalled, open Google Play Store > Search for "Images" > Choose Google Images from the search results and set up the Google Photos app back on your device.
