This is because the Silence Unknown Caller feature allows all callers in your contacts log to give you a name and only prevents new phone numbers from ringing into your system.
So, here are 3 completely different strategies to configure your iPhone to only ring when essential or selected contacts call your system.
1. Add essential contacts to allowed recording
The best strategy to set your iPhone to ring or vibrate only for identified or essential calls is to manually enable Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone and include essential calls in the allowed log.
Ir a Settings > Our Approach > Do not bother > transfer switch after Do not bother à EN Go to and click on the “People” tab, located in the “Allowed Notifications” section.
On the Allowed Notifications screen, click + Add a specific person choice.
On the next screen, select the Contacts that you just have to add to your authorized calls log and press Reached.
After that, only people on your authorized calling list will be able to call your iPhone, as long as your system is in Do Not Disturb mode.
2. Activate emergency bypass mode for essential contacts
Another simple strategy to make your iPhone only ring when an identified contact requests it is to use the emergency override mode available in the Contacts app.
OPEN Application contacts and choose the Contact which you only need to activate when you are in Do Not Disturb mode.
On the contact items screen, click the button Edit which is in the upper right corner.
Then scroll down and click Ringtones.
On the touch screen, it allows you to Emergency referral select and press Reached.
Then go to Settings > Our Approach > Do not bother and turn on Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone by moving the following toggle button to Do not bother à EN Location.
Now only contacts with emergency override options will be able to name your iPhone, as long as it is put into Do Not Disturb mode.
3. Add the named contacts to the favorites record
Another simple strategy to make your iPhone ring only when an identified contact calls you is to manually enable Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone, which allows only your favorite contacts to call you.
Open the Application contacts on your iPhone and choose the Contact that you just have to activate to make your iPhone ring.
On the contact data display screen, select Add to Favorites choice.
In the pop-up menu that appears, choose the option Name choice.
In the next pop-up window, choose the Telephone from this contact.
Once you have included all your essential contacts in the favorites list, go to Settings > Our Approach > Do not bother and transfer the alternator to the following Do not bother à EN Location.
