Warhammer 40.000: Darktide players are in luck!, as the Fatshark studio has announced the arrival of a new free update called Nightmares & VisionsThis expansion, scheduled for release on March 25, will incorporate a new game mode, adjustments to established mechanics, and a series of improvements that seek to broaden the gaming experience.

The update will be available on all platforms in which the title is present, i.e. PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, Xbox X|S Series and PlayStation 5. With this new feature, Darktide adds more content and options for its community, which in recent months has been receiving periodic improvements and expansions.

A new challenge: Mortis Trials

One of the most striking elements of this update is the introduction of Mortis Trials, a new activity in which players will have to face waves of enemies within visions induced by the ship's Psyker. During these raids, participants will be able to choose between different skills and boosters to increase your chances of success.

The goal of Mortis Trials will not be just to survive, but also to unravel hidden information about various key characters on the Mourningstar ship. This is a different approach to other game modes, as it puts an emphasis on narrative and Skill customization.

Havoc Mode Improvements

Another aspect that will receive modifications is the Havoc Mode, which is aimed at more experienced players. Thanks to the update, this mode will feature New modifiers that will increase the difficulty, as well as adjustments to player rankings.

These improvements have been implemented in response to the community feedback, which called for a greater variety of challenges and better management of player rankings. With these changes, the developers are looking to balance the difficulty without making the game inaccessible to new participants.

Changes to the Ogryn class

In addition to the new game modes, The Ogryn class will see a complete overhaul of its talent tree. This will allow for greater Skill customization and will expand the strategies available to players who choose this character type.

Along with the talent tree review, new features will be included Adjustments to certain weapons used by the Ogryn, in order to improve their overall performance in combat. These changes are part of Fatshark's effort to ensure that all classes are viable within the current metagame.

A limited time special event

As part of Nightmares & Visions, the developers have confirmed the arrival of a special limited time event, centered around the Mortis Trials. This event will give players the opportunity to obtain exclusive rewards which will only be available for a certain period.

In previous editions, these events have been very well received by the community, as they offer additional content at no extra cost and encourage active participation of players in the Darktide universe.

With this update, Warhammer 40.000: Darktide continues to expand its free content offering, with significant gameplay improvements and new mechanics aimed at keeping the community engaged. Fatshark has confirmed that it will provide more details about the changes in the coming weeks via blog posts and live streams.
