A number of people have recently reported that the EA Play Hub app is not working on the gaming platform they select. What causes the EA Play Hub is no longer working error?
After doing some in-depth research on this particular issue, we managed to find out that there is only one compelling reason that causes the error. EA Play no longer works. It turns out that this app is too lazy to update the error message and properly explain what exactly is going on.
Nota: When this error message appears, it is intended to encourage players to close or restart the app, but it does nothing to help. This is a problem that is usually seen on consoles. Xbox y PlayStation, although it also occurs on PC.
One of the reasons you may be seeing this error is simply that the dedicated EA Play Hub app has been removed from both Xbox consoles and PC consoles. PlayStation. It has also been removed from the platforms associated with your computer.

1. Access your EA Play subscription on Xbox consoles
As part of the partnership between Microsoft and EA, the EA Play subscription is seamlessly integrated into the My games & apps section of Xbox One y Xbox series.
On the other hand, something that is quite positive is that both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S have the same operating system. This means that the instructions to enter your EA Play subscription are the same for both previous generation consoles and current ones.
Here we will explain the steps you must follow to successfully access your EA Play subscription from the games section or apps. This works on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles.
- From the main menu of your Xbox console, navigate to the section My games and applications, then access it.
- After that, go to Complete Library from the left side and select EA Play.
- Once you are inside the EA Play section, navigate to Game Trials and select it.
- Here you can find each of the games you can play through the EA Play service. Select the game you want to play and go to the Microsoft Store, then download and install it.
2. Access your EA Play subscription on Playstation consoles
If you are trying to access your EA Play titles from a PlayStation system, you should know that the operating system on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 varies a lot. Because of this, we created two different guides that will walk you through the entire process.
Don't worry, as the instructions are still easy to follow.
Here are the instructions you need to follow to access EA Play games from your specific Playstation console:
Access your EA Play subscription on Playstation 4
On PlayStation, the EA Play component is not integrated into the operating system as it is on Xbox consoles. However, the instructions are quite simple to follow.
This is what to do:
- From the main menu of your PlayStation 4 console, navigate to PlayStation Store and access it.
- Once you're inside PlayStation Store, Go to the Search option and search for the game you want to play with EA Play. After you find the game, you must select it and download it.
Access your EA Play subscription on Playstation 5
The steps for PlayStation 5 consoles are a little different than those for the console described above, in part because the interface is different. Beyond this, the steps are just as simple, and, like the Play 4, EA Play does not have direct integration with the store.
This is how you will be able to access your EA Play subscription on a PlayStation 5 console:
- Go to the main menu on your PlayStation 5 console, then navigate to PlayStation Store and select it.
- Once you're inside PlayStation Store, go to the option Search and search for the game you want to play using EA Play.
Nota: You can also go to the menu Subscriptions and manually search for the game.
- Once you find the game, select it and proceed to download and install it.
3. Access your EA Play subscription on PC
In case you are trying to use EA Play on your computer, there are 2 possibilities. You can use the service on the Origin app or EA applicationIt is your decision which application you want to use.
To use EA Play on the Origin platform, all you have to do is go to the Origin official site and download the application, then install it.
Once the app is installed, log in to your account and click on EA Play, then click Join now! button and continue with the action. Then log in with your account that has access to EA Play.
The other alternative is the EA App, so the steps are practically the same. Go to the site EA official and download the beta app, then install it on your computer. Once the app is installed, run it and log in to your personal account. Now click on the top right button that says Join EA Play and continues with the action.
Nota: Please note that the EA app is still in beta, so the app may experience lag and bugs (you may encounter errors from time to time).
