• After that, you should find yourself on the login screen. Enter your credentials to be able to access the router settings.

• Now you must access the section Configuration, then click Dial-up and Profile Management. After that, you will have your old profile name set to TelekomSA and it will be set as default. You need to create a new profile with the following details:

Profile name: no restrictions

IP Type: IPv4

APN: no restrictions

Nota: you should leave the rest of the space blank as is.

• Now you need to save the new unrestricted profile and set it as default.

3. Change DNS to Google

Change default DNS on Xbox One / Xbox Series X/S

The instructions for changing the default DNS for last-gen consoles are roughly identical to those for next-gen consoles.

All you have to do is access the Advanced Settings menu of the network you are connected to, then go to the manual configuration approach to give the option to set a custom DNS.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

• Go to the home screen of your Xbox console and press the guide menu.

4. Enable UPnP

Users have reported that the Connection Refused: Invalid Token error could be caused by the fact that Network Address Translation (NAT) is not open for the network the console is connected to. They have managed to fix this by enabling the UPnP option from the router settings.

Nota: If your router does not support UPnP option, skip this method and check the following one.

Here are the steps to enable the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) option on your router:

• Before you do anything, you should start by making sure that your console is connected to the router on which you want to enable the UPnP option.
• Now open your default browser and type 192.168.0.1 o 192.168.1.1 then press Enter to open settings of the router.

5. Manually forward Apex Legend ports

If you've tried the UPnP method before and found that your router isn't equipped to support it, you can try manually forwarding the ports used by Apex Legends. Doing this will ensure that your network can allow incoming network requests from the Apex Legends servers.

Nota: Instructions will be slightly different from one router manufacturer to another, so if you're having trouble using your router's settings, search online for the exact instructions.

• Open any browser you want to use, then type one of the following codes into the search bar:

192.168.0.1

192.168.1.1

• After that press Log in to access the router settings.
• When you are on the login screen, you must enter your login credentials to access the router settings.

Nota: If you have not previously changed your login credentials, the default value should be admin as a name of user y 1234 , the password. If these don't work, search online for login credentials specific to your router model.

• Once you are inside the configuration of the router, expands the Advanced / Expert menu, then click on the port forwarding / NAT forwarding option.
• You now need to manually open the ports below to ensure your network accepts incoming connections from the Apex Legends server.

When you manage to get in touch with them, provide them with your router information and then ask them to transfer you to technical support. They will need to change your NAT type to number two. After everything is reset, your Apex Legends error should be fixed.

8. Join someone else's group (temporary solution)

Some users have managed to fix the Connection Refused: Invalid Token error when joining someone else's party. By doing this, they were able to play the game temporarily, but after a while of playing, the error reappeared.

10. Implement Hotspot Fix on PS4 (Temporary Fix)

The last thing you can try is to change your PlayStation 4 connection from Wi-Fi/LAN cable to mobile data using a hotspot from your phone. This method has helped many users to play games when using the hotspot.

Important: While this method may also work for Xbox consoles and Playstation 5 consoles, we have not been able to test it to verify this.

But before you connect your PlayStation 4 to a mobile hotspot, you must first download two apps that are necessary for this method to work (Hotspot Shields and Every Proxy).

Nota: In case you are a user of IOS, this method will not work because these apps are not available in App Store, you can only find them in Play Store.

Here are the steps on how to do it:

• Opens Play Store from your phone Android and search the application hotspot Shields, then download and install it.
• Now search Every Proxy and install the app as well.
• After installing the apps, turn on your mobile hotspot from the Setting, then start the application Hotspot Shield. Inside, press the big circle on your screen to activate the VPN access point.
• Now you need to start the application Every Proxy and press the toggle button next to HTTP / HTTPS to activate the option.
• Once you've done that, you can put your phone aside and access the Configuration from your PlayStation 4, but make sure to leave your apps and hotspot turned on.
• Now navigate to Red and select it, then press where it says Set up internet connection. Also, select Wi-Fi and then make sure you choose Custom.
• Within the DNS settings, for the type of Primary DNS 8.8.8.8 and for the type of Secondary DNS 8.8.4.4, Select Next. Now choose Automatic.
• Next, you will see the option Proxy Server, choose Use. Inside it, enter 192.168.43.1 and proxy address y 8080 such as port number.
• Now test your connection, then when it's done, launch Apex Legends and try joining a match to see if your issue is resolved.
