How do I fix the drag and drop problem in Windows 10?
As we mentioned, when we find that the drag and drop function is failing, we often don't know what to do about it. However, solving this situation is easier than you think and below we will tell you how to fix it.
1.- Run the DISM tools
When you are unable to drag and drop on a Windows 10 computer, you can run the DISM tool or the Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool to fix it.
For example, the DISM tool fixes corruption errors present in Windows when operating system updates and service packs fail to install due to corruption errors, it is as if you had a damaged system file.
In this section we are going to show you how to run the DISM command on your computer, this way you can check if it works for you when you cannot drag and drop in Windows 10:
- click start
- In the search box you must write CMD
- Then press where the symbol of the system within the search results list

7.- Perform a complete analysis

- If you don't have MSE installed, go to the official website and install it.

- Press where it says all applications
- Open Microsoft Security Essentials

8.- Uninstall and reinstall Fences
If you have Fences on your computer, you must uninstall and reinstall it by following these simple steps:
- Uninstall fences
- Remove Stardocks files located in the Program and Program Data folders via an uninstaller or simply delete them
- Reinstall fences
- Position yourself where it says View
- Uncheck each of the auto-arrange icons and align the icons on the grid
After this, you need to check if the drag and drop feature is restored. In case it still doesn't work, you can try the next solution.
9.- Run the troubleshooter
If you can't drop and drag in Windows 10, running the troubleshooter hardware and devices can help you resolve the fault.
This helps check for frequently occurring problems and ensures that any new devices or hardware are installed correctly on your computer.
To do this, do the following:
- Right click on Start
- Select Control Panel
- Go to the View option in the top right corner
