In basic, the iPhone uses a dynamic IP ID assigned by the DHCP server. If necessary, you can change the IP ID of your iPhone.
Change iPhone IP Address
As already mentioned, the IP address of the iPhone and other devices that connect to the network is automatically assigned by the DHCP server, which in the case of the Wi-Fi community is your modem/router.
While most users do not find the need to change the IP ID, you may find the need to change your device's IP ID to fix community connectivity issues, avoid website blocks, bypass firewalls, and other causes.
The iPhone IP address is made up of 4 units of numbers (e.g. 192.175.0.12). Here, the first three digit units (192.175.0.0) are derived from the IP address of the iPhone. router.
When you assign a new IP ID to your iPhone, the first 3 units of numbers must match your router's IP ID and you can only change the last series of numbers (12 in this case) to any number from 1 to 256.
Step 1 – Find out the IP address of the router
The first step is to write down your router's IP address, as it will be used in the next step.
