In basic, the iPhone uses a dynamic IP ID assigned by the DHCP server. If necessary, you can change the IP ID of your iPhone.

Change iPhone IP Address

As already mentioned, the IP address of the iPhone and other devices that connect to the network is automatically assigned by the DHCP server, which in the case of the Wi-Fi community is your modem/router.

While most users do not find the need to change the IP ID, you may find the need to change your device's IP ID to fix community connectivity issues, avoid website blocks, bypass firewalls, and other causes.

The iPhone IP address is made up of 4 units of numbers (e.g. 192.175.0.12). Here, the first three digit units (192.175.0.0) are derived from the IP address of the iPhone. router.

When you assign a new IP ID to your iPhone, the first 3 units of numbers must match your router's IP ID and you can only change the last series of numbers (12 in this case) to any number from 1 to 256.

Step 1 – Find out the IP address of the router

The first step is to write down your router's IP address, as it will be used in the next step.

1. Ir a Settings > WiFi > hit yours WiFi Community.

2. On the next screen, go to the “IPV4 ADDRESS” section and look at the IP Cable de Router.

In addition, note the decrease in the Subnet Mask Guide and the remaining set of current IP cable quantities (12 in the above case).

Step 2 – Manually change the IP ID on iPhone or iPad

After you note down your router's IP address and subnet mask, you can follow the steps below to change your iPhone's IP address.

1. Ir a Settings > WiFi > hit yours WiFi Community.

2. On the next screen, go to the “IPV4 ADDRESS” section and click on Set IP possibility.

3. On the next screen, choose the Handbook Choose > Login Router IP Manager, Manipulating subnet masks, New IP cable and touches Guarda.

As we have already said, the first 3 units of measurement of the New IP address (168.175.0 in the previous case) must be identical to the IP address of the router. Only the Remaining set of quantities will be modified, using any amount from 1 to 256.
