This error only affects PC users and occurs just before the game connects you to the servers.
If you are currently facing this error, I invite you to continue reading our guide and learn with us how to fix the Battlefield 2024 black screen.
How does Battlefield 2024 black screen occur?
Once we learned about the existence of this flaw, we decided to take a look at this issue and found out that several reasons could be causing it, such as:
- Game obsoleteYou will most likely experience the black screen issue if you are trying to run an outdated version of the game on your PC that is no longer supported by your operating system.
- Outdated GPU drivers: If your graphics card drivers or equivalent driver were migrated from a previous version of Windows, they are likely no longer supported, which is causing the issue at hand. The solution is simple: reinstall the newer GPU drivers and try running the game again.
- Archives from corrupt cache: Corrupt cache files can prevent Battlefield 2024 from accessing important game dependencies, resulting in the black screen issue.
- Overclocked PC: several players overclock the hardware of your system to increase performance speed, but this can sometimes lead to overheating which then prevents the game from loading properly.
What methods can I apply to fix Battlefield 2024 black screen?
Now that you are aware of what might be causing the problem, let's move on to learning about the different troubleshooting methods.
1.- Update the game

Here's how you can update Battlefield to resolve the black screen issue:
- In Origin, go to My game library and right click on Battlefield 2042.
- Choose Update game and wait for the update to install.
2.- Update your graphics driver
It's common for outdated drivers to cause issues like the one at hand. Just like game updates, graphics driver updates also include bug fixes. This means that if your outdated driver is causing the problem, installing the latest updates should fix the issue in no time.
All you need to do is head over to your manufacturer's official website and download the latest available version of the graphics driver. Once installed, try launching Battlefield again.
3.- Repair game files

- Choose Delete.
- Now recharge Origin and repair the game by following the steps we mentioned above.
- Once done, restart the game and check if the black screen is fixed.
7.- Change the screen resolution
There is also a chance that you might be facing the black screen issue with Battlefield 2024 due to a low screen resolution. Certain games require a high resolution to run and hence changing the screen resolution might do the trick for you.
Here's how you can do that:
- Go to Windows Settings and select System.
- Choose Screen from the left and select Click Advanced display settings.
- Now, click on the menu below Litigation, Arbitration.
