If the flashlight isn't working on your iPhone , or if the flashlight icon is dimmed in the management center, you should be able to resolve the issue using the troubleshooting strategies below.
What if the flashlight is not on on the iPhone?
You can access your iPhone's flashlight at any time by swiping up on your device's screen and tapping the flashlight icon in the center of the control.
While this feature remains accessible most of the time, the torch icon in the Management Center may appear greyed out, preventing the torch from being used.
1. Close the Digital Camera application
Both the iPhone's flashlight and digital camera app are powered by the same LED light, which is located on the back of the gadget.
However, you cannot use the iPhone's digital camera and flashlight at the same time. So, if the flashlight icon is greyed out, close the Digital Camera app and you should be able to use the flashlight.
2. Remove the iPhone case
In some cases, the problem is caused by the flash lens being covered by an ill-fitting or poorly designed iPhone case.
Take a close look at the back of your iPhone and check if the flash lens is blocked by the cover. Remove the cover from the iPhone and check if the flashlight now works properly.
3. Cost of the iPhone
The flashlight will not work if your iPhone's battery is almost dead. Make sure your iPhone is sufficiently charged and try using the flashlight again.
Also make sure that Low Power Mode has not been inadvertently activated on your iPhone by going to Settings > Battery.
4. Reboot iPhone
Usually the problem is due to applications, processes, and minor issues that prevent the use of the flashlight.
Go to Settings > Regular > Scroll down and click Cease.
Allow the iPhone to completely power off > Wait 30 seconds and restart your iPhone.
5. Turn the digital camera flash on and off
The problem is usually caused by the flash being locked in the iPhone's Camera app. To fix this, open the Camera app on your iPhone, tap the Video icon , and then tap the Flash icon.
Next, choose the EN choice, adopted by the OFF choice.
Close your digital camera and try using the Flash on your iPhone.
6. Configure updates
Go to Settings > Regular > Open ring Software replacement program.
On the next screen, click on Get Ready and Enlist (in case there is a replacement on the market) and follow the instructions to apply the updates.
7. Reset iPhone Settings
Resetting settings will erase your Wi-Fi password and reset all iPhone settings and preferences to factory defaults (it will not erase any knowledge of your iPhone).
Go to Settings > Regular > Reset > choose Reset all settings.
In the confirmation pop-up window, click Restart to verify. After your iPhone restarts, you'll need to join the Wi-Fi community by entering your Wi-Fi community password.
8. Reset Contact on iPhone
Tap to reset your iPhone by following the steps for your iPhone model.
iPhone 8 and above: Tap and launch Quantity > Reduced Quantity > then press and hold the Appearance (ON/OFF) button until the Apple emblem appears.
iPhone 7/7 Plus: Press and hold Reduced Amount + Power (ON/OFF), until you see the Apple logo.
iPhone 6 and earlier: Press and hold Home Address + Power (ON/OFF), until you see your iPhone start with the Apple logo.
If the previous strategies haven't worked, the problem might be related to the hardware , and it's advisable to have an Apple Retailer technician check your iPhone.
