How to print in custom size
These are the steps you need to follow to print on an irregular or unconventional paper size:
Step 1: Gather your measurements for your custom paper size.
Our first step will be to make sure we have the correct measurements. Measure twice, print once.
Step 2: Open the document to be printed and open the dialog box Print
Once your file is open, you can enter the Print dialog going to File> Print or using the keyboard shortcut «ctrl + P«Here you can choose your printer. The dialog will be updated with new information each time you change the selected printer.
Step 3: Click the button Properties.
Click on the Properties next to the printer name to enter your more advanced settings.
Step 4: Find the custom paper option and set the size
This is where printers will start to vary. Some will have a nice big button to print in custom size like the others have. Ricoh, and others will be at the bottom in a drop-down menu like in the case of HP. We will break this step down into three smaller parts to go over the process for each of the three printers we are looking at in this post.

These are the steps you must follow:
- Step 1: go to properties home screen.
- Step 2: go to the tab Paper and click the button Custom size.
- Step 3: make sure the option Inches is selected.
- Step 4: set custom size.
4b. HP OfficeJet 6500
In this case you must follow the steps shown below:
- Step 1: go to Properties Home Screen.
- Step 2: go to the tab Showtimes: and choose Custom size at the bottom of the dropdown menu Paper size.
- Step 3: You need to name the custom size. Please enter the custom size after you have named it.
4c. MFC-J6710DW
Follow the procedure below:
- Step 1: go to the Properties Home Screen.
- Step 2: Choose User Defined at the bottom of the dropdown menu Paper size.
- Step 3: set the Custom paper size.
Step 5: Click All, Accept and ¡Print!

Add custom size in Windows 8
To create a custom page size in Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012:
- Step 1: open the Control panel writing "Control panel» in the search box of the menu Home. Click «View devices and printers" in "Hardware and sound» in the Control Panel. Select the printer named «Win2PDF» and then click on the menu option «Print server properties» in the window title bar.
- Step 2: in the window "Print server properties«, assign a name and set the paper size dimensions.
- Step 3: Choose "Save form» and close the window. Your form should now be available for Win2PDF.
Print in custom size in Windows 10
To define a new custom page size, follow these steps:
- Step 1: write Printers and scanners in the search box in the lower-left corner of your screen, then click to select the Printers & Scanners option.
- Step 2: Click a printer in the list (for example, Plotter_401_z3200), then click on «Manage«.
- Step 3: In the dialog box that appears, click «Printing preferences«. On the «Paper/Quality» tab, under «Print Quality», select «Custom Options». In «Paper options", Choose "Personalized» and enter the appropriate width and height. Make sure to set the width smaller than the length.
- Step 4: Give the new page size an original and descriptive name, such as '24×36' or 'Custom Size A'.

This new size should be available for use on all similar printers. One note on this, when you perform the first step; you will likely not see all printers listed. Print in custom size in Windows 11
To create a custom page size in Windows 11:
