As you may have noticed, Home Search windows displays clean results as soon as you start typing in the search box on your Windows 10 or 11 Home laptop. Below you will find 3 completely different strategies to disable clean results in Windows Home Search.
Disable network endpoints in Windows Search at Home
By default, the search box on your Windows 10 and 11 operating system is designed to display options from the Internet as well as native search results performed on your laptop's hard drive.
This is because Windows Home search is based on Microsoft's Bing search engine, which also powers Internet Explorer and Microsoft's Edge browser.
While network results or options may be useful in some circumstances, they are completely useless when a person is simply trying to search for information, applications, or apps located on the computer's native hard drive.
Another good reason to disable Pink Recommendations may be to speed up Windows home search by limiting it to your laptop's native Ardu Disk.
1. Limit Windows Home search index to native hard drive
An easy option to prevent network results from appearing in your Windows at Home search is to limit your Windows at Home search to your laptop's hard drive only. If this doesn't work, try repairing the Registry.
Ir a Settings > Search in > Permissions and History and click Search in the initial windows the hyperlink in the right panel.
On the Home windows House search screen, scroll down and click on Top Search Indexer Parameters.
On the next screen, press the button Edit button.
On the screen that shows the location of the list, click Show all areas button.
On the next screen, uncheck History of Internet Explorer and choose your Harddrive unit.
Click on OK and allows House Home windows to rebuild the search index.
Click correctly on the Starts and click the button Run. En el symbol of the system Run, write regedit and click OK.
In the Registry Editor screen, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionSearch.
Push the button Search in Archive and selection New > WORD-WORD (32 bits) in the context menu.
Identify the newly created DWORD as BingSearchEnabled and double click on it.
In the Edit DWORD pop-up window, make sure the Knowledge Discipline value is 0 and click OK.
Then double click on Cortana Consent post.
In the Edit DWORD pop-up window, such as 0 in the discipline Knowledge of value and pulse OK.
Pay attention: If you don't see CortanaConsent, create this entry by following the same steps as creating BingSearchEnabled.
After this Registry change, your Windows 10 or 11 home laptop will no longer display web search results, and all of your searches in the Start menu search bar will likely be limited to your laptop.
If necessary, you can continue to return internet search results by opening the Registry Editor and changing the following: BingSearchEnabled e Cortana Consent Knowledge values at 1.
3. Stop Internet Recommendations in Windows Home Explorer Using Registry
Press the button correctly Starts and click the button Run. At the command prompt, type regedit and click OK to open the registration enhancement screen.
In the Registry Editor screen, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftWindows and create a New Key by right clicking on Windows for the home and selecting New > Clubs in context menus.
Identify the new key as Explore.
Then right click on Explore selected New > DWORD value (32 bits) in the context menu. Identify this newly created DWORD as “DisableSearchBoxSuggestions” and load it into the Sign in Key.
Now double click on the new one DisableSearchBoxSuggestions WORD BY WORD.
In the pop-up window, change the Knowledge value to DisableSearchBoxSuggestions à 1 and click OK.
Restart your laptop for the settings to take effect.
After restarting your computer, use the search field and you will not receive any web search results in the Home windows House search results.
If you want to see the Pink recommendations, you can either delete DisableSearchBoxSuggestions DWORD or change its knowledge value to 0.
Be careful: The steps above disable File Explorer search history for the current person's account only. Different personal accounts on your laptop will still display web search results.
To turn off web search recommendations for different person accounts, you'll need to log into each of those accounts and repeat the steps above.
