Skype video not working in Dwelling Home windows 10
The issue of Skype video not working on Home windows 10 can be attributed to a number of things ranging from Skype not having permission to access the web camera to the Skype program being corrupted.
Typically, there may be an error message on the Skype audio and video settings screen that says “No machines were discovered”, “Skype could not discover the web camera” or something similar.
So the first step may be to check the Skype audio and video settings screen to see what kind of error message appears.
1. Open in Skype or Whatsapp Application on your PC
2. When you are in Skype, click on 3 dot icon and click Settings in the drop-down menu.
3. On the next web page, click on Audio and video in the left panel. In the right panel, it is best to be able to see yourself in the Skype digital camera (if the digital camera works).
If your Skype digital camera is not working, you will see an error message in the right panel or just below the digital camera screen.
If you see the error message “No machine found”, it usually means that the netcam has been disabled on your computer and you need to enable it (see point 3 below).
If you see an error message that says “Skype couldn’t discover a web camera,” make sure your computer’s web camera is turned on.

2. Enable Skype to join the net camera
Follow the steps below to ensure that Skype can access your computer's digital camera.
1. Open Settings and click Privacy .
2. On the privacy screen, set it to ON Allow apps to enter your digital camera choice.
3. On the same screen, scroll down to the “Select the apps that can access your digital camera” section and change EN the subsequent change to Digital camera.
4. On the same screen, scroll through the additional pages and move the cursor to the next one. Skype or Whatsapp à EN place.
Restart your PC and check if the digital camera in the Skype app works now.
3. Leave the net camera on your computer
Follow the steps below to ensure that the net camera is enabled on your computer.
1. Press the button correctly Starts and click the button Machine Supervisor.
2. On the Machine Supervisor screen, expand the entry to Cameras (or Image Units) > right click on net camera and click Authorize the machine choice.
After activating the digital camera, go to Skype Settings > Audio and video and you better get a chance to see Skype's digital camera in action now.
4. Restore the Skype application
Usually, the Skype application is malfunctioning which can be resolved by using the restore option in Windows 10 Home.
1. Open Settings on your PC and click Apps.
2. On the next screen, click Applications and options in the left panel. In the right panel, scroll down and click Skype or Whatsapp > The best choices.
3. On the next screen, swipe down and tap the button Restore button.
Restart your computer and check if you can now use Skype video.
5. Restart Skype
If the restore option has not worked, you can reset the Skype application. This can primarily remove and reinstall the Skype application on your computer.
1. Open Settings > click Apps.
2. On the next screen, click Applications and options in the left panel. In the right panel, scroll down the page and click Skype or Whatsapp > The best choices.
3. On the next screen, click the button Reboot button.
4. In the pop-up window, click Reboot once again to justify.
Restart your computer and check if Skype video now works on your computer.
5. Replace the net camera drivers
Follow the steps below to ensure your net camera is using the latest drivers.
1. Press the button correctly Starts and click the button Machine Supervisor.
2. On the Machine Supervisor screen, expand the entry to Cameras (or picture drives), right-click on your net camera and click Replace the driver.
3. On the next screen, click Automatic search for an updated driver program choice.
Allows Windows 10 Home to search your computer for the latest device driver.
4. Restart your Laptop to apply this change.
