Many customers do not find the default Send to Window context menu options to be sufficiently fascinating or useful. However, it is possible to customize the Send to Window menu in Start 10 in order to make it more useful.
The default options that appear in the Send To Menu are primarily shortcuts to packages and folders on your computer.
What makes customizing the Navigate to menu in Windows 10 Home easy is that each of the shortcuts that appear in the Navigate to menu is saved in a simple folder called "Send to".
Something that is added to the Send To folder becomes an option in the Send To context menu. Likewise, something that is moved out of the Send To folder will be moved out of the Send To context menu.
The "Send To" folder is set to C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Send To and can be accessed simply by using File Explorer or the "Shell:SendTo" command.
Follow the steps below to add a new shortcut to the Send To menu of the Start 10 window.
1. Press the Start button correctly and click the Run button in the menu that appears.
Note: You can also press Windows key + R to open the Run command.
2. In the Run command window, type shell:send to and click OK.
3. When you are in the SendTo folder, add the Shortcut file for the items you only want to see in the "Send to" menu.
For example, in the image above, if you drag the OneDrive shortcut to the Send To folder, the OneDrive shortcut will appear in the Send To menu.
If you find that your Send To menu contains unnecessary items, you can remove them from the Send To menu by following the steps below.
1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command.
2. In the Run command window, type shell:send to and click OK.
3. When you are in the Send to folder, delete the Shortcut for the assets you simply want to remove from the "Send to" menu.
For example, to remove the fax recipient, right-click on it and select the Delete option from the context menu that appears.
If you right-click a file or folder, you can access a limited variety of items in the Send To menu. To have more options in the Send To menu, you can make a longer Send To menu appear by following these steps.
1. Hold down the Shift key , then right-click on the File/Folder.
2. Move the cursor to Send to in the menu that appears and take note of the extended ship to save.
This selection is useful if you want to work or organize things in specific folders on your computer, such as Photos, Video, Music, Documents, and so on.
