Backup WhatsApp on Laptop
By default, WhatsApp is designed to backup in Google Drive, iCloud, and also on your phone's internal storage.
If your phone has a MicroSD card, WhatsApp will use the SD card to back up your data instead of using your phone's internal storage.
Therefore, the only method to backup WhatsApp on PC is to manually backup WhatsApp to your phone's native storage and transfer the backup file to PC.
1. Backup WhatsApp to native storage or SD card
The first step is to make a backup of WhatsApp on the SD card or internal storage of your phone Android.
1. OPEN WhatsApp on your mobile phone.
2. Toca 3 point menu and choose Parameters in the drop-down menu.
3. On the parameter display screen, go to Cats > Save the cat.

The above file (msgstore.db.crypt12) contains the latest backup of your WhatsApp conversations in encrypted format.
Since the backup file is in an encrypted format, it cannot be used to view or access your WhatsApp messages.
However, the backup file can be used to restore WhatsApp conversations on your phone by transferring the file to your phone (storage or SD card) and reinstalling WhatsApp on it.
