1. Insert an image into an Excel cell

Follow the steps below to insert an image directly into an Excel cell.

1. Open Excel file Archive in which you want to insert the image

2. Push the button Insert tab > click on Illustrations and choose Photos possibility in the Illustrations group.

3. On the “Insert Picture” screen, choose the Image (or Photos) you want to insert and click the button Insert button.

2. Resize an image to fit in an Excel cell

By default, images inserted in Excel remain on their own separate layer and you will find them floating or shifting impartially in the cells.

This allows you to resize the image to fit the scale of the cell(s) in which it is placed.

A simple method to combine an image within an Excel cell is to first enlarge the Cell > press the button ALT key > Transfer the image in the cell.

3. Attach an image to a cell in Excel

If you insert a picture into an Excel cell, the picture will not remain in the cell while you move or resize cells in the worksheet.

You can fix this by simply associating or locking the image to the Cell it was positioned in.

Once the image is attached to the Cell, it must be transferred, resized, overlaid, destructured and filtered with that Cell.

After this setting, the image will be locked to the cell it was positioned in and will be moved, resized, hidden, deleted, and even filtered with the cell.
