If you've recently upgraded from a laptop with Home windows to a Mac, you may have noticed that the scroll path on your Mac is reversed from that on a Windows laptop. Fortunately, it's easy to change the scroll path on your Mac for both the trackpad and the external mouse connected to your Mac.

By default, the scroll path on a Mac is Pure, designed to use your mouse and trackpad the same way you would use a touchscreen gadget.

In a nutshell, this means that you'll need to move your finger down on your Mac's trackpad/mouse to scroll up on the screen, and move your finger up on the trackpad/mouse to scroll down on the Mac's screen.

As you might expect, this can be quite annoying for those who are accessing the Mac from a Windows home laptop. So, let's check out the steps to change the scrolling path on Mac from its default setting to the scrolling path as it is accessible on a Windows laptop.

Please see the steps below to change the scroll path of your Mac's trackpad.

1. Push the button The Apple Icon in the top left corner of your screen, and then click System preferences

2. In the System Preferences view, click Trackpad

3. In the trackpad settings screen, click Pan and Zoom tab (See image below)

4. Subsequently, uncheck parchment course choice : Pure

Once unchecked, the trackpad path will be identical to that of a Windows home laptop.

Follow these steps to vary the scrolling path of an external mouse connected to your Mac.

2. In the System Preferences view, click Mouse

3. In the mouse configuration screen, uncheck the option Travel path: Pure

That's it, until further notice, your mouse scroll path will be identical to scrolling on a Windows Home laptop.
