The biggest knock against live TV streaming services used to be the lack of sports, but they are catching up with cable and satellite TV.
Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and fuboTV cover the action these days and are excellent alternatives to DAZN because they offer top-notch service at a price that can compete with many.
We've selected five options that offer the best variety of sports channels , even if they aren't exactly cheap. You'll see that they're worth the price.
However, if a huge amount of sports isn't your thing, you might find another live streaming service here that's a great fit for you. Let's explore each of the options we have to offer.

1. fuboTV
If you're willing to pay for it, fuboTV can offer you more sports channels than any other streaming service, including some you've never heard of unless you're really into football. For this reason, it's considered one of the best alternatives to Dazn.
fuboTV launched as a football-focused streaming service, and it still excels at that, but it also offers a decent array of entertainment channels and tailored add-on options. It recently added ESPN channels, which cemented its place as a true sports streaming leader.
Advantages
- Lots of football channels.
- ESPN Channels.
- Many complementary options.
Cons
- Expensive plans.
- Limited local channels.
2. Sling tv
Another of the important alternatives to Dazn is Sling TV. Sling TV offers three plan options, but, to get the most sports channels, you'll want the most expensive one, because it has an additional sports package. It involves a bit more thinking and math - we know, it's not great - but you'll get access to almost every sport it can handle.
Sling Orange (30 channels) and Sling Blue (50 channels) aren't bad individually, but Sling's Orange + Blue bundle connects you to top sports channels like ESPN, FS1, and NBC Sports. Combined with 24 more sports channels from Sling's Sports Extra package, that's over 30 sports channels.
Of course, you may not be interested in all of the sports on the Orange + Blue + Sports Extra plan, in which case you may want to downsize to the Orange or Blue plan, both of which offer their own individualized Sports Extra add-on.
Important warning: Sling TV includes only 10 hours of cloud DVR storage, which can be upgraded to an additional 50 hours.
Advantages
- More than 30 sports channels.
- Customizable lineups.
Cons
- Limited local channels
3. YouTubeTV
YouTube TV, our favorite general streaming service at CableTV.com, is loaded with professional and college sports channels, and can be added to FOX Soccer Plus and NBA League Pass.
The included cloud DVR space, which comes with no limits but deletes recordings after nine months, is also great for keeping up with games. It even has a “no spoiler” feature to hide scores.
Unfortunately, none of those games will be from NFL RedZone or NHL Network: YouTube TV doesn't carry those channels ; that's a loose ball worth going to the penalty area for. Even so, YouTube TV offers plenty of sports and entertainment channels.
Advantages
- More than 20 sports channels.
- Unlimited DVR.
Disadvantages
- No NFL or NHL channels.
4. Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV's channel lineup includes the essential sports channels like ESPN, FOX, and NBC , as well as college football with the Big Ten, CBS Sports, and a few others. However, while it's a solid live streaming service overall, Hulu + Live TV probably isn't for die-hard professional sports fans.
MLB Network, NBA TV, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, and NHL Network are nowhere to be found on Hulu + Live TV, and there are no sports add-on packages available either. Hulu does well on the entertainment side, but it's inconsistent when it comes to sports.
Advantages
- Solid coverage of college sports.
- Main basic sports channels.
Cons
- There are no professional league channels.
- Without sports accessories.

5. AT&T TV
AT&T TV may be a corporate cousin to DIRECTV, but you’d never know it from its sports-light lineup. Its basic “Entertainment” plan gives you just four proper sports networks (ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, and NBC Sports Network).
If you're looking for AT&T TV sports, the “Ultimate” plan is the way to go: It adds FS2, NBA TV and NHL Network, as well as seven college channels and three other sports channels (golf, tennis and Olympic).
However, the biggest penalty against AT&T TV as a general sports streamer is the complete lack of any dedicated NFL or MLB channels.
Advantages
- Decent college sports lineups.
- Plenty of DVR space.
Cons
- Limited professional sports channels.
- No league channels.
What is DAZN?
Dazn is an international sports-only streaming service that launched in the US in September 2018. It offers a variety of sports in the different countries where it is available. It primarily focuses on fighting sports, which is a big plus for fans of the same.
Why look for alternatives to Dazn?
The service meets a much-needed demand for some subscribers, but there are notable limitations, which is why many are looking for alternatives to Dazn:
- There is no free trial for fans: DAZN removed its free trial, which means that You must pay to get access.
- No refunds: In addition to the loss of the free trial, DAZN does not offer refunds.
- Too niche: DAZN offers a wide range of live sports in other markets, but focuses almost exclusively on boxing and mixed martial arts. This may make it too limited for many potential subscribers to justify the cost.
How to cancel DAZN
DAZN's cancellation policy is its biggest problem. When testing the service, we found that there is no way to cancel DAZN from your account settings. The service does have an option to cancel the account, but that sends you back to the login screen. To cancel DAZN, you'll need to follow the instructions below:
- Step 1: open live chat.
- Step 2: Select the option that indicates that you have a problem with your account.
- Step 3: provide the support agent with your account information.
Request to cancel your account
The support agent likely won't object to cancellation (at least, that was our experience when testing the service). However, we recommend double-checking to make sure your account has been fully cancelled and monitoring your payment to make sure it won't be charged next month.
On the other hand, if you decide to cancel your account, DAZN does not offer refunds . However, you can still pay for the remainder of the month you paid for, or the rest of the year if you paid for a one-year subscription.

However, we invite you to review the features carefully, so that you can choose what best suits your needs. Either way, you can switch from one service to another when the month is up.
